6.11.15 Blessings

Mr. Tiger congratulates the Kindergarten class and Parents.

Dear Friends,
Thank you for blessing us with your prayers and gifts throughout the year.  We will be traveling this summer to visit friends and share our ministry to the Navajo children at Hilltop Christian School (one of the facets of Western Indian Ministries). We appreciate prayers for our trip.

As we closed out our school year, Roger and I gave each of our students a character award and an academic award at the assembly. But, even more important was the Blessing that we prepared for each child. The Blessing was done in our own classrooms, and it was amazing how seriously the children participated in this and how they listened to each other’s blessings.

See the garden grow!
Mine were fairly short, so I’d like to share a few of them with you. The names and genders have been changed, of course.

May Liam walk before You, God, as King David walked, with integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that You have commanded him, and keeping Your statutes and rules. May Liam use his gifts of communication to lead Your people and his nation.

Bless Esther with good health, as she grows to be a faithful friend and helper as was Dorcas. May the Lord go ahead of her and prepare the way. May God come behind her and protect her. May the Lord surround her and make her aware of His presence. May Esther use her gifts of friendship and helpfulness to bless her sisters and her friends.

Terrell, God has uniquely equipped you for His service.  You have a wonderful ability to see God’s hand all around you and to share that with others. God has gifted you in the area of academics. May you commit to God those gifts He has given to you. Use the gifts to be a breath of fresh air and to help others who are seeking the Father. May they see in you a life blessed by faith.

May Larry be a soldier of prayer as was our Savior Jesus. May he seek the Father before, during, and after his time of struggle.  May he pray at all times, asking for everything he and his people need. May Larry use his ability to learn quickly to help his brothers.
Field trip to see a potter.

May Rhianna’s heart be encouraged as she learns more about Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. As she discovers the talents and gifts You have given her, may she grow up like Timothy, who was an example to believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.

May Ilene be willing to be giving and loving and enable others to fulfill their potential as did Leah and Rachel in the Book of Genesis. Lord, help her to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power and put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, have her feet fitted with readiness that comes from the Gospel of peace, take up the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. May Irene use her fine reading ability to glorify God and bring pleasure to others.

May Abigail continue to love God with the fervor and child-like faith she has now. May her love for others increase and overflow on Your people and her nation. May the Lord strengthen her heart so that she will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father, when our Lord Jesus Christ comes with all His holy ones. May Abigail use the gifts you have given her to be the leader you want her to be.

Pajama Day was a favorite.
May Clayton use his strengths to be a mouthpiece for Your grace. May he be protected from the evil one—for You have not given Your children a spirit of fear, but a Spirit of love, power, and a sound mind. May he be bold like Peter in following Jesus.

May Agnes, who knows so many things, know the Author of all wisdom and knowledge. May she be like Paul and be able to teach others with joy what she knows and what the Lord will be teaching her throughout her life. May the God of peace equip Agnes with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in Agnes what is pleasing to Him.

May Janet be like Mary, who was the sweet, loving Mother of Jesus. May her love abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that she may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ – to the glory and praise of God. May Janet be a great blessing to her people with her gifts of service and kindness.

May the Spirit of the Lord – the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might – rest upon Ivan. Keep him from the evil one and help him to rejoice in the Lord always. May his gifts be not only useful in his own life, but in the preservation of the lives of others.

May Kristina always know that her needs are being met according to God’s riches in Christ Jesus. May she walk a righteous path, which will be like the light of dawn that shines brighter and brighter until the full day. May her diligence, perseverance, and forgiveness bless her way and bring comfort to her family.

May Donald know he has been chosen and blessed by God. May he not be tempted to do wrong, but always follow the Lord’s teachings. May Donald learn to be sensitive to others and inspire others to do their best. May Donald’s gifts and abilities be used to help others who have difficulties to trust in God’s power to be overcomers.

Show Terry that he is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that Your works are wonderful. Teach him that he is precious in Your sight, and that You love him. Bless Terry and help him to use his gift of friendliness to bring people together in harmony.

God has endowed you, Jacob, with special artistic talents. May you be surrounded with many opportunities to use those talents for good works. May the Lord accomplish great things through you, and may you touch many lives and make a difference in many people.

Until Later.
